With Independence Day approaching, the wave of patriotism is hitting all-time highs as the days pass by. The crowd is preparing for the parade, with the will to colour everything in the three colours of the Indian Flag, including food. Orange Sauce Ingredients

Tomatoes (2)

Red peppers (2)

Cheese — Parmesan (grated — 1/8th cup)

Garlic (2 cloves)

Salt and Pepper (as required)

Olive oil (as required)

  • Roast the tomatoes, pepper, and garlic in the oven and remove the skin and the seeds before grinding. Add the grated cheese, and the orange sauce is ready.

Green Sauce Ingredients

Basil leaves/Tulsi (fresh — 2 1/2th cup)

Cheese — Parmesan (grated — 1/2 cup)

Salt and Pepper (as desired)

Olive oil (as required)

Garlic (2 cloves)

  • Process the basil, cheese, salt, and pepper before adding 1/3rd cup of oil, followed by garlic. The green sauce is ready

White Sauce Ingredients

Onion (chopped — 1)

Garlic (crushed — 1 clove)

Milk (250 ml)

Butter (25 gm)

Flour (25 gm)

Cheese (grated, cheddar and cream)

  • Melt butter in a pan and add flour to it. Add milk slowly to avoid lumps, boil the sauce and then bring it to simmer as you add cheese to it. Add sauteed onion and garlic to this mix to finish the white sauce.

Tricolor Pasta Recipe

Cook the pasta in boiling water and then strain them before separating them in 3 bowls equally. Add the sauces in three different pans and heat them with the divided pasta with a touch of olive oil. Add half a cup each of cream sauce to the three sauces and mix. Decorate the plate with these three differently coloured pasta, and celebrate the Indian Independence Day in your own style.
